Classrooms (EN)
All classrooms are equipped with computers for the teacher and a projector with the option of connecting your laptop using a VGA or HDMI connector. The classrooms are also equipped with standard equipment for recording.[1] There is also a whiteboard for writing with dry markers in each classroom. You can find instructions for using the classroom and projector on SharePoint.
Access
Classrooms are available to users only during the building’s operating hours.[2] The mode of access of students to the classrooms can be:
- Free mode
- Supervised mode – students are not allowed to stay in the classroom without the presence of a teacher.
Use of classrooms outside of teaching hours
Indicative use of a specific classroom can be found in the Timetable portal or on the paper schedule posted by the classroom. For event reservation purposes, contact the faculty scheduler. For more information, see Pořádání akcí.
Computers in classrooms
Unless otherwise stated[3], users log in to all operating systems using the CTU username and CTU password.
The choice of the operating system can be made in the menu after the computer starts. Home directories between OS Windows and OS Linux are shared and can be accessed remotely. For more information, see Home Directories.
Report any errors or defects to the ICT department’s helpdesk. If you need to solve a problem immediately, call the helpdesk at +420 22435 8786. Do not try to fix the problems yourself, and do not manipulate the cabling.
Use of computers during events
In the case of an event attended by persons outside CTU (e.g. Czechitas, Summer School, Lvíčata, etc.), it is possible to create accounts for these persons. Please contact the helpdesk of the ICT department with a request at least two weeks in advance.[4]
Persons outside FIT
The following applies if computers are used by persons outside FIT (but within CTU):
- Access to OS Windows is allowed without distinction to all persons with a CTU identity.
- Access to OS Linux is allowed only to persons with the role

To access the Linux OS, it is possible to use the guest account – guest

The guest
user does not require a password to log in.
The guest account has no home directory, so all data is deleted when the operating system is restarted or shut down.
