Studio

Two backgrounds can be used in the studio. First, a gray stage curtain, which serves as a non-distracting background behind the speaker; the studio is also equipped with a green screen, which can be used for keying – that is, computer-based replacement of the background behind the speaker. The studio includes a built-in whiteboard, identical to those in classrooms or seminar rooms, which can be used for creating educational videos. Also available is the so-called Light Board – a glass board on which one can write with markers, with the advantage of being able to stand facing the audience the entire time.

The studio is equipped with professional television lighting. To achieve the desired lighting effect, the lighting panels can be moved along rails, and the light intensity and color temperature can be controlled remotely. The studio has three wireless audio sets and six professional microphones, three headsets and three lavalier microphones. Two podcast microphones are prepared for recording interviews. The studio is also equipped with ambient microphones. A wireless in-ear monitor is also available, which is suitable for back-channel communication from the control room to the speaker during a live broadcast. The studio is equipped with three professional cameras – two 4K broadcast cameras and one film camera with up to 12K resolution. Two preview televisions are also available.

Control Room

An integral part of the studio is the control room, located in the adjacent room. The control room makes it possible to stream programs to internet portals and is used for processing recorded materials. The control room is equipped with a video switcher that allows switching between eight inputs, supports image corrections, a wide range of transition effects, and inserting graphics into the image. A calibrated monitor is available for professional color and visual adjustments of the image.

The control room also contains a powerful computer with software editing software, which extends the capabilities of the hardware switcher with work involving a larger number of inputs, reception of remote AV signals, and richer graphics.

An integral part of the studio is also an audio mixing console for sound processing and a control panel for studio lighting. With its equipment, the control room is prepared to receive and handle video inputs that will also be produced in other rooms across the faculty – for example, a lecture/tutorial/conference broadcast from a room prepared for that purpose (classroom, seminar room, laboratory) to YouTube, MS Stream, or another platform.
