If a user has registered both TOTP and a FIDO2 security key for MFA, the sign-in system will prompt them to verify using the security key regardless of their currently preferred method. Signing in with TOTP therefore requires the additional steps described below.
When prompted to sign in by an application, the user is presented with the standard CTU sign-in screen. Enter your username in the format
username@cvut.czand your CTU password. After entering your credentials, click Continue.
When prompted to enter the security key PIN or connect the security key, click Cancel. The exact appearance of the prompt may vary depending on the operating system and browser.
On the page informing you that sign-in was unsuccessful, select Sign in another way.
Select Use a verification code.
Enter the time-based code generated by your registered TOTP-compatible application and click Verify.
