Windows Hello for Business

Windows Hello for Business is like setting up a keychain that is already built into the computer. The user can sign in using a PIN or biometric data used to log in to Windows.

Setup – Windows

Warning:

Before registering this method, MFA must first be set up via Microsoft Authenticator.

  1. You need to sign in to your university account on the device. In Settings  Accounts  Access work or school click Connect and enter your account in the format username@cvut.cz.

  2. Return to Accounts and select Sign-in options.

  3. You can choose from one of three options: Facial recognition, Fingerprint recognition, or PIN.

  4. The guide below shows the procedure for PIN; the other variants are similar. Click Set up.

  5. Set up your PIN code.

  6. Click OK.

  7. A sign-in request will appear and must be approved.

  8. After successful approval, a success notification will be displayed.

Setup – Browser

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge supports Windows Hello by default. We recommend enabling sync by signing in.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Settings and search for Windows single sign-on.
  2. If it is not checked, enable:

  3. Restart the browser

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store and install the Microsoft Single Sign On extension.
  2. Restart the browser.
