Stream
Microsoft Stream is a service for uploading, viewing, and sharing videos within CTU.
It is available to all CTU students, employees, and collaborators as one of the services included in the university-wide Microsoft 365 solution (formerly Office 365).[1]
Caution:
Changes since Spring Semester 2021
Recordings of Microsoft Teams meetings in teams created in Spring Semester 2021 and later are no longer stored in Stream. Instead, they are now stored in the folder of the respective team in SharePoint/OneDrive.
The following procedures therefore apply only to teams created in Winter Semester 2020 and earlier.
Sign In
- Go to https://office365.cvut.cz/ and sign in using your CTU Microsoft account in the format
<username>@cvut.czand your CTU password.[2] - Open the menu in the upper-left corner and select the Stream application.
Viewing Team Recordings
Caution:
Applies only to Winter Semester 2020 and earlier.
To view all recordings in a specific team, follow these steps:
- Sign in to Microsoft Stream.
In the top menu, select My Content › Groups.

Uploading a Recording
Caution:
Applies only to Winter Semester 2020 and earlier.
Caution:
Only employees are permitted to upload recordings.
If you created a recording on a platform other than Microsoft Teams, you can upload it to Stream manually as follows:
- Sign in to Microsoft Stream.
In the top menu, select Create › Upload video.

In the Details section, fill in the required information. The video title should be concise and should include, for example, the course code to make searching easier.

Click Publish to publish the recording.

The recording can be found in the top menu under My Content › Videos.

Getting a Recording Link

Applies only to Winter Semester 2020 and earlier.
- Sign in to Microsoft Stream.
- Go to My Content › Videos.
For the selected recording, click More actions (three dots) and choose Share.

If you disabled the option Allow everyone in your company to view this video when uploading the video, the video will only be available to explicitly specified teams or users (see step 6).

Upload Failure in Microsoft Teams
Caution:
Applies only to Winter Semester 2020 and earlier.
When a Microsoft Teams meeting ends, its recording is automatically uploaded to Microsoft Stream.
Under certain circumstances, this process may fail.[3]
An example error message is Recording failed to upload to Stream.
In such a case, the recording must be downloaded from Microsoft Teams and uploaded manually; see Uploading a Recording.
